Frequently Asked Questions

If you would like to get in touch, that’s great.  I recommend a telephone conversation initially so that I can answer any immediate questions and get an idea from you about what you want to achieve out of counselling.   If I cannot get to the phone, please leave a message (it is completely confidential) stating what number to call you back on, if it’s ok to leave a message and I will get in touch as soon as I can.

Each session is £40.00, payable by cash or bank transfer at the end of each session, within 24 hours.

My core working hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9.15 a.m. until 3 p.m.  I occasionally have availability on Tuesdays and Saturday mornings (please enquire).

I take your confidentiality very seriously and this can be discussed in depth at our first session.

In this session I will need to take some information from you to enable me to work safely and ethically.  It is a chance for you to ask any questions and to see if I am the right counsellor for you and we will normally establish a way of working with each other. You will receive my privacy and confidentiality policies.

This does vary considerably and does depend on what you would like to work on.  We can discuss this in more depth at our first session.

They are usually once a week.  As time goes on and clients feel more settled within the process some clients move to fortnightly sessions.

Yes, there is a small car park available, free of charge at Great Leighs.  However, if there is no space you can park on the road.  There is also a bus stop outside on the road.   At Dunmow there is off road parking and the location is also located on an accessible bus route.
