Relationship & Couples Therapy

Humans are wired for connection, but those bonds can sometimes become strained or painful. I provide a secure, private space in Flitch Green, Dunmow, to help any two people rediscover their understanding of one another.

Finding a Way Back to Each Other

In any significant bond, it is natural for communication to break down, ruptures to occur or for cycles of conflict to take root. Relationship therapy at The Therapy Shed is not about assigning blame or deciding who is “right.” Instead, it is a collaborative process where we look at the underlying patterns of your connection. By exploring your individual attachment styles, the wounding from long ago, and how they interact, we can begin to unpack the “why” behind your difficulties.

Whether you are facing a crisis or simply want to deepen your intimacy, relationship therapy provides a space for you to speak, be heard and redefine your relationship.

Relationship Therapy For All Types of Connections

While many people associate relationship therapy exclusively with romantic couples, my practice is open to any two adults (18+) who wish to improve their connection. We are all part of various complex dynamics that shape our daily lives and wellbeing. I work with siblings looking to repair old wounds, business partners navigating professional friction, and adult children with their parents seeking a healthier adult connection.

If there is a fracture in a relationship that matters to you, I offer a dedicated space to pause, listen, and rebuild.

How This Helps

The goal of our work together is to foster a deeper understanding that allows both parties to feel heard, valued, and secure.

Improved Communication: Learning to express needs and feelings without the fear of conflict or emotional shut-down.

Breaking Negative Cycles: Identifying the recurring patterns that lead to “feeling stuck” and finding new, healthier ways to interact.

Deepened Empathy: Gaining insight into one another’s internal world and how past experiences influence current reactions.

Conflict Resolution: Developing the practical tools to navigate disagreements with respect and emotional safety.

Sustainable Bonds: Building a foundation of trust and understanding that supports the relationship long after our sessions end.
