About Me

Understanding my own path to the therapy room and how I work alongside you to help you rediscover your authentic self.

A Journey Rooted in Empathy

I know from my own personal experience that taking the first step into a therapy room can feel daunting. For a long time, I struggled with the weight of people-pleasing and the impossible standard of perfectionism. It was through my own therapy that I learned how to unpack those patterns and find a more secure way of being, both myself and others around me.

This personal journey is what led me to become a therapist. I don’t sit across from you as a clinical observer: I sit with you as someone who understands the courage it takes to face what you are carrying.

Over a Decade of Dedicated Support

Before founding The Therapy Shed in Flitch Green, Dunmow, I spent ten years working within the fields of trauma, relationships,  and bereavement. My professional background has taught me that there is no “one size fits all” solution to mental health. This is why I work integratively, blending Psychodynamic and Attachment-based therapy with Gabor Maté’s Compassionate Inquiry and Internal Family Systems (IFS) principles. My goal is to help you understand the “why” behind your current struggles so that you can move forward with sustainable clarity.

Why Choose Me?

I offer therapy that is down-to-earth and human. I believe that good therapy is about genuine connection and addressing the inner obstacles that can make that difficult. This informs my approach and ethical practice.
